To fully appreciate this venue, you must understand that the El Matador Taco Truck is only open from 6PM to 4AM. We headed out from Santa Monica about 10PM and arrived close to 11PM. There was a decent sized crowd there, but really no wait to order. We ordered 4 tacos al Pastor to share and watched as they were cooked to order. Hard to put into words just how amazing these were. Suffice to say, we ordered two more! The tortillas tasted homemade, warm and flavorful. The meat was tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. The al Pastor toppings and hot sauce complimented the meat without overpowering it. We’ll be longing for these when we’re back home. The El Matador Taco Truck will be added to the growing list of reasons to return to LA.
